As our sport continues to grow and thrive, the number of privately hosted games increases proportionally. S.L.A.P. will continue to encourage privately hosted events. In fact, we have hosted Team Forums for various teams throughout the region, as well as a "Teams By State" section for the express purpose of teams advertising their events.

However, another increasing trend is that of games hosted on private or public property without the consent of the owner or government that oversees that property. We strongly discourages any event held without the permission of the appropriate party. First, imagine what happens when a law enforcement officer on a trespassing call arrives to find multiple individuals wielding what appear to be assault rifles. It's not hard to picture some of the possible results of this sort of thing. Use your head, playing on property without permission is illegal, and could result in a situation far worse than a slap on the wrist or citation for trespassing.

Now, to the point. S.L.A.P. will not host any invitation for an event held on property without permission or that is inherently dangerous. Why? Here's why:

1. We like our airsofters alive, well, and preferably out of jail.
2. It's illegal for pete's sake.
3. The news that would result from any large game broken up by police would be harmful to airsoft's already strained reputation among the media and lawmakers.
4. Most importantly, S.L.A.P. is here to provide all of you a service. We're here to give you all a place to find and trade information about the sport we all share. If we knowingly host an invitation to an illegally hosted event, we're jeopardizing this organization's existence. We're going to protect our ability to serve you all for as long as we can, and that's the bottom line.
5.Blanks/real steel weapons will not be discussed on this forum. Only Games utilizing these for "theatrical purposes", They must be produced by a licensed production company. Promoters/Announcers are held accountable for the game content.

How are we going to enforce this?

1. Until now, it's been based on an honor system. We simply ask the poster(and host) if they have permission. Most are honest, even if they don't have permission. We simply delete the thread if it's not hosted with permission. We will continue to operate in this manner.
2. However, if you go out of your way to falsely declare it is legal, and we find out, your posting privileges WILL be removed, if you're not banned outright. That will be decided on a case by case basis.
3. If this system does not work, S.L.A.P. will put an official method of showing proof into place, and we reserve the right to do so at any time.

So, quite simply, invitations to games hosted on either public or private property without the proper authorization are not permitted on any section of this forum.
