New Intellect 8.4V 1400 MAH Battery for my MP5. Empty New Intellect 8.4V 1400 MAH Battery for my MP5.

I just got the new Intellect battery from the shop. I did, as I often do, plugged it in and shot off a few shots prior to charging it... all I can say is HOLY *&^%. This thing has almost doubled the firing rate of my MP5. I have not conducted longevity testing yet to see how well it lasts, but the difference in ROF is noticeable, and the mechanics of the gun sound like they are operating like they were meant too. I am going to try it here in the dark on my test target after a full 4.5 hour charge. In fact depending on what time I decide to do this I might do a head to head test to compare the difference between the two batteries. I can't wait to get the 8.4V 4200 mah Intellect for the M16, that thing is going to be beast.

anyone used a Matrix 8.4V 4800 MAH battery? more to the point anyone know how they compare to an intellect? Other than being almost $20 cheaper?

Matrix bateries are more than likely a tenergy or sanyo. While they are not bad batteries nothing compares ti an intellect other than Lipo, the $20 higher price tag means youdefinately get what you pay for on this gig. Due to the high voltage drain capacity of an intellect, you will find that your ROF even with an 8.4 will perform like soime 9.6 volt bats. Be sure to charge you intellect to full capacity but never let it reach a charging temp where the cells become hot to the touch. You should havehours of gaming off this battery if you stay off the SHTF switch...lol

I thought that was going to be the answer.
I will say... based on the performance of the intellect for the MP5, I will bite the bullet and get the intellect for the M16A4. I will just have to wait a bit before I can buy a $70 battery.

agreed, they are a bit pricey. I have a tenergy 3800 8.4 in my ICS Custom SR16. I would have gotn a Intellect but it makes my ICS shoot 3round burst in semi auto. I'm thinking of adding a mosfet switch or chip to the wiring harness to controll this.
