i don't like the look of the gun to be honest but I'm pretty sure whoever the shooter is, is going to feel pretty good behind this thing
Re: What's the new Gat
Yea this gun has a high ROF and the clips are 500 rounds so it could be a support or a sniper base.

That's because JG is Echo1 from what I've been told.

Yes that is true, but really Echo 1 takes jg and upgrades it and put trademarks it.SirUber wrote:

I don't know if the upgrade thing is right. I've taken both the Echo1 and the JG apart and they have the very same internals.

I think it's more like one or two companys that make standard parts. Then you have companys like systema,G&P,Modify, and so on that make upgraded parts.
Look at Ford vs Mercury they're two different companys but the cars and trucks use alot of the same parts

Agreed,
However, ECHO1 takes JG and makes improvements and calls it version so and so. If you look close you can see slight changes but nothing significant.

I'm a little late, but in response to the echo1 and jg topic i think they both have their differences. i was looking to buy a hk416 and the echo1 version is much more loose than the jg even though both have a plastic body. also the weight of the jg was better and more centered.

Re: What's the new Gat
I have a JG MP5A4 and when I was doing research into the purchase of it, I saw that with the whole JG/Echo 1 thing, for the most part ECHO1 makes changes to the gun to ensure reliability and/or trademarks. For instace, the ECHO1 version of my gun (not the full metal one) shoots a little softer because of a weaker spring being installed into it, which is supposed to reduce wear and tear on the gears as well as increase rate of fire. However, when I took my gun apart for the first time, I saw that it had Classic Army metal gears in it and everything in the gearbox was metal except for the spring guide, cylinder, nozzle, bushings and tappet plate. The cylinder did have metal teeth though, so I upgraded everything except for that, and now I have a gun that has maybe $120 into it and outperforms the ECHO1 version which usually runs almost $30-40 more then my upgraded gun. Also, I have had no issues with my particular gun in more then 20,000 rounds through that thing, so I am pretty sure it is going to hold up in the long run with regular maintenance.

Re: What's the new Gat
This is an issue that has been long debated. I like echo 1 and JG and find them to be either exactly thesame w/some differences or very similar in design and internals. However you want to say it both brands are very good guns for thier price. As long as the quality control and price stay where they are or get even better JG?ECHO1 will remain a dominant factor in the AEG market.
