Seems more like a downgrade to me.
Re: 9mm M16!!!!
Maybe, but I bet mags are cheaper.

Re: 9mm M16!!!!
Hmmm, I wouldn't go that route personally. I hate to say it but I am a looks stickler, and that looks terrible. Plus though one 6MM BB "kills" the same as any other, its still worse getting killed by a .50 than a .22. One would almost wonder if it would take more than one hit from a 9MM M4 to drop a person.

Well, if you get shot by a .50 it will go straight through you but if you get hit by a .22 it stays in you then you have to get it out and most likely not much fun.

9mm wouldn't usually drop anyone severely pissed off or amped up, .45 will. Or so I've been told at least.
If you get hit with a .50, good look growing back a major organ(s) or a limb.
Personally, I'd much rather have an m4 pattern smg than an mp5. Mp5's can be more compact, but are bouncy shooters.
And also, in ways applicable to airsoft, smaller mags means more mags with less gear (although people like to haul around enormous fake plate carriers anyway). If the mags feed well or better and don't cost more than $15 a midcap than there's no reason to complain!

A quote from the police department . . . "In most cases, the caliber of the round doesn't matter as much as where it hits you."
An example in a rather disturbing video that we had to watch filmed by a patrol car dashboard cam. Officer and subject get in a shootout. Officer is firing a 357 and the subject is firing a 9mm. Subject opens fire first, hits the officer in the shoulder. Officer opens fire on subject, hits subject with 4 rounds, three of which were center mass. Officer radios for help. Subject fires again, hits officer in the side a few inches under his armpit. Officer reacts and fires two more rounds, hitting the subject center mass both times. Exactly 47 seconds later, officer dies in the street, and the subject can be seen slowy climbing back to his feet. The officer had been hit twice by two 9mm rounds and died, the subject had been hit by 6 357 rounds and survived to attend trial, where he later hung himself in prison.

amen brotha,
rounds on target count and where they hit matters most, Large caliber rounds help. As far as this kit goes dont waste you money unless you plan on buying TM metal Uzi mags to use with it.
