Books and such
This might sound a little gay but since I've been grounded I have had time to read a lot so Drew has one of my books right now if you ask him you can borrow the book. Honestly I forgot what its about except it is a biography of Brad Kasal I have more just wont be able to loan them to people since I'm grounded. SORRY!
Post any interesting books or anything of the sort. thanks

Lone Survivor
An amazing, and entirely true, unembellished war story. I won't ruin it for anyone, but it's about the lone survivor of a team of SEALS on a mission in the Hindu Kush (I think I spelt that right ) mountains of Afghanistan.

Clancy Novels
Rainbow Six (Series) Never a dull moment
Splinter cell (series)
Blackhawk Down AKA Battle of Mogadishu The true story as told by the soldiers who were there.
Richard Marcinko Pick up any of his books if youre the dark humor kind of guy, always a great read.
Finally, if you have an ounce of testosterone in your body you wont want to miss Tucker Max.
I laughed so hard I cried. Warning: This book is for mature/adult readers only.

Re: Books and such
that's awesome that you got it autographed by him. he is a hero. i would agree to some extent about the book being graphic and disturbing. you would not think that a human being (those somalis) could be capable of such things. however, i did not read it because of that. i do not think those things are cool. i read it because i wanted the truth and this man obviously wanted others like me to know it. i am not sick, and if anyone read it because it is graphic and disturbing then they are sick. i believe there are other qualities to this book. it shows courage and bravery of our armed forces. it shows sacrifice and loyalty and the true meaning to, "i got your back." it makes you look deep inside yourself. it is a great book and i would recomend it to anyone anyday.Blackman wrote:In the company of heros.Micheal Durant. i had the pleasure of having that book autographed by him and Jollata(he is in the book). the book is graphic and disturbing.

i dont like talking about it,and i dont think its a good idea 2 mention it, but when he got "Clubbed"
Re: Books and such
yup. it was pretty sick and lets you know just what a human being is capable of. and it is an eye opener to another world over there.

a good book for anyone who is into the sniper thing is a book called Sniper the techniques and equipment of the deadly marksman. its a 141 page book that covers literally everything in the realm of sniping. for its history and gear, to tactics and unit suppression. the book is hardcore. ill bring it with me to the game saturday. im not sure if im going to play it depends on if i wake up and go to the pungo game.

Re: Books and such
I know its been said a few times on here, but Blackhawk Down is a great novel, and Barnes and Noble actually has the Audio CD version on sale right now for under 7 dollars in its bargain section. That is a great price if you do not actually have the time to sit down and read it. I highly recommend it. They also have 1 book on Airsoft Tactics in the Sports section, so worth checking that out too.

Re: Books and such
Hey Swift,
What is the Blackwater book called, is it the book just called Blackwater:Rise of the worlds largest Merc Army? If so how is it, i know it is supposed to be an anti-Blackwater book, which im not too interested in reading, but if it is a fair report i may have to check it out. Thanks for the info.
