At (NO) time should you (EVER) use real gun solvents and cleaning products on your airsoft guns! This also includes WD40, Breakfree, CLP(homemade), Bore Solvents, Hoppes 9, Bore foam, ect. Use Airsoft Approved cleaning products only. All airsoft guns should be cleaned only with airsoft approved silicone spray. Not sure if what you have is the right silicone? Stop by our Chesapeake location and I'll show ya. In your box that your AEG came in you should have recieved a cleaning and unjamming tool. On the cleaning end of the rod there should be a slot where a cleaning patch can be placed. Remove your inner barrel from your AEG. If you dont know how stop by and Ill show you for your type of gun. Install a cleaning patch after you cut the patch in half (Otis patches work great) and run it through the barrel from breech to muzzle (back to front) while the cloth is dry. This will remove most of the trash in the barrel. Next, apply some silicone spray to a new patch and run that through your barrel in a drilling motion clockwise. With a new patch do this again counter clockwise until the patch looks clean. Brass barrels will leave a small amount of residue (light blue tint) on the patch even after the barrel is clean.
